Food Systems Assessment Community Coordinator

The Food Systems Assessment Community Coordinator (FSACC) will work alongside & engage neighbors within 4 partnership communities in Colorado Springs (Pikes Peak Park, Hillside, Knob Hill, and Meadows Park) to compile stories, insights & information around barriers to and opportunities for accessing affordable, nutritious food. Neighbor-driven recommendations compiled by the FSACC will inform a food systems assessment in partnership with El Paso County Public Health (EPCPH) & the Food Policy Advisory Board of El Paso County (FPAB). The end purpose is to improve access to fresh foods through neighborhood-based interventions and “Policy, Systems, & Environment-level” (PSE-level) solutions. The FSACC will work directly under the oversight of the Director of Programs. This is a grant-funded position and continued employment is dependent on available funding as determined on a fiscal basis as outlined in the contract.
